KOLKATA,14th May: "TELE CINE AWARDS" is a very popular and prestigeous award event, in Kolkata for the last 19 years. It's a popular Award Show of BENGAL and BANGLADESH. Artists from Bangladesh and Kolkata come to this Award Ceremony and we get an opportunity to see the India-Bangladesh friendship and great bonding. This year is the 19th year of "TELE CINE AWARDS" and it was held at Nazrul Manch, near Rabindra Sarobar, Kolkata and the organizers had invited the artists from Kolkata, West Bengal and Bangladesh.





The General Secretary and organiser of "Tele Cine Awards" Mr. Mrinmoy Kanjilal said, " This is the 19th year of this Award Ceremony and we have invited 15 artists from Bangladesh including RUNA LAILA and ALAMGIR, and we are the only organisers who bring so many artists from Bangladesh in such prestigious occasion. Also from Kolkata we have invited quite a few artists who have been nominated by public voting. This year more than twenty thousand people/ general public have voted and according to this voting our jury board has decided to how many artists we would be honouring. I think there are many people without whom we couldn't have organised this award function. I really thank all our sponsors, our jury board and our artists for being so cooperative with us. This year we have Music Awards, Television Awards and Film Awards."




Best playback singer Award went to Anupam Roy for a song in the movie 'Kontho'. Best singer Award also went to Tasnim Anika from Bangladesh, for a song in the film 'Nolok'. The film GUMNAMI grabbed three Awards... Best film, best director ( jury) and best Actor Award. Mr. Srijit Mukherjee and Mr. Prasenjit Chatterjee received the Awards and after receiving the award Mr. Prasenjit Chatterjee congratulated the entire team of "Gumnami" and thanked Mr. Srijit Mukherjee for believing in him. 




Other Celebrities like Mr.Raj Chakraborty, Ms. Rituparna Sengupta, Ms. Shubhasree Ganguly, Ms. Arpita Pal, Ms. Aparajita Addhya and others also received Awards and honours. Ms. Runa Laila and Mr. Alamgir received Lifetime Achievement Awards.
